It Really is a Google World

Google Chrome

When Google became a verb it started to be come obvious that the world is revolving around Google. Google controls the largest amount of internet searches, how people use documents online, advertising and so much more.
Google Chrome

There are pros and cons to having one large entity like Google controlling so much information and technology.

The Upside to Google Earth
Google has such deep pockets and resources that they can take on awesome projects and develop great services. Google docs is very usable and if you haven't tried Google Chrome, then you're behind the times and need to. Their browser is faster than others, has better features and a great user interface. Their latest version is much faster and more effective that even their previous versions.

The Not So Good Side
Google can do what ever they want whenever they want to whomever they want. This kind of power is bound to be abused. From randomly shutting down email accounts, advertising accounts and disposing of customers without a second thought shows the arrogance of a big company like Google. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, right? Well if that holds true, then it's no wonder why Google can make such unsubstantiated decisions and impact you without giving you a reason. One company was forced out of business because Google decided to shut off their advertising account after sending one warning. When the company paused the ad as they were asked in the warning email Google determined that wasn't good enough and just shut down the account. Now they can not advertise on the Google Adwords/Adsense network and all of the data is lost in the Google black hole. How can it be so arbitrary and not have a method for resolution? Google does not publish contact information and instead is asking people not to contact them. Message to Google: You have such awesome services and programs that we all want to use. Please make it fair and accessible to contact you and work through issues.

Google Universe?
Will Google take over the universe? I can see them branding the moon and more, so yes, if Google stays at the top of their game it could one day soon be not just a Google Earth, but a Google Universe.
